Atlantic crossing

Pictures of our crossing in November/December 2007.

Before departure

Our people

Stellendam-Horta track

-
I still have to organize this section a little better
.

We had to put the port of origen and name at least somewhere

leaving the locks in Stellendam, the green light for our 7-day trip to the Azores

Stormy night in English Channel. The only bad weather we ever had and this ship just kept plowing through

No more bad weather but a substancial swell all the way to the Azores - so, a little rolling …

breakfast for the engineer/owner

owner with port of Horta in the background (Faial, Azores, a mystical place by the way)

Volcano landscape on Faial, Azores - VERY WINDY - unreal landscape

in the middle of the Atlantic we all took a swim

another beautiful sunset on our Atlantic crossing

a power-shower - no lack of water pressure on our expedition yacht - pirates, beware

St. Maarten cruise terminal; who says we don’t below here???

We finally did seen dolphins - a lot -for about 40 minutes. Then they were gone again. They loved to play in front of the bulbous bow

Where have you been dad?? How far away?

Ft. Lorenzo at the mouth of the Chagres river in Panama. History coming alive.

Another busy day at the beach in Kuna Yala (San Blas), Panama’s picture perfect cruising paradise
