Engine room
The holy place ! The heart of the ship! OK, forgive me but I’m an engineer by education after all. Nevertheless, this is a real great engineroom. Very spacious (appreciated by folks who actually have to work in it), well layed-out and with great equipment. At the heart an awesome 9 cylinder Deutz 628 main engine running at about 700 rpm at cruise speed (12 kn) driving a 3.6 m (12 ft.) prop. For a some general pictures and background info, first see the engine room section of my blog.

Let’s start with the work shop. Also roomy. In the back 4 fuel tanks (2x 12 m3; 2x 6 m3). The 2 big ones will stay dry to meet MCA stability requirements. The 2 small ones will be converted into jet fuel storage tanks.

And here is a start with the engine room. More to come of course
